As shared in our "Memory Book" located at the Main Desk:
When I was four years old, my Aunt Chickie took me to the Stoneham Public Library for the first time. She tole me to pick out as many books as I would like and I brought home a stack to the house and we read all weekend. When I returned the following weekend... the stack was gone!! I began to cry , "My Books! My Books!"
Aunt Chickie rubbed my back until I stopped crying and explained that I didn't own the books and that they had to go back to the library. She put me in the car and we went back to the library to get more. What a concept! I still love the library! - Erin
